South Africa’s loss is Munster’s gain?

The expected Springbok exodus after this summer’s Lions series could have a knock on effect for Munster.

It’s believed a number of contracted South African players are considering Northern Hemispehere rugby after victory in the 2007 World Cup and revenge for 97 with a win over the 2009 British and Irish Lions.

Jean De Villiers is among the list of candidates.

The 28 year old centre started in both test wins over the Lions and it’s widely rumoured the Stormers captain could link up with the Munster squad as a replacement for the retired Rua Tipoki after the series comes to a close.
