Slow Start Proves Costly As Limerick Overcome Clare In Munster MFC

Clare’s hopes of advancing to the Phase One final of the Munster minor football championship suffered a setback as Limerick emerged 2-8 to 0-9 winners in this Shannonside derby.

Two goals inside the opening ten minutes set the tone as Limerick built a seven point half time lead having played against a stiff wind in Mick Neville Park.

Clare’s performance and workrate improved after the restart as they notched four of the first five points of the game to cut the gap to four.
