Sixmilebridge Well Prepared For Broadford Challenge – Crowe

The manager of defending Clare Senior Hurling Champions Sixmilebridge says they’re well prepared for putting their title on the line this weekend.

The Bridge take on last year’s Intermediate Champions Broadford at Cusack Park on Saturday, after a four point victory over Whitegate in the last round.

Throw in at Cusack Park on Saturday is at 4.45.

Manager Tim Crowe says they’re heading into the unknown, having found it difficult to defend their title in previous years.

Ballyea’s manager hopes his forwards have kept their shooting boots on following their comprehensive victory last time out against Clooney-Quin.

The Black and Amber hit 2-28 to secure their eighth successive quarter final, with star men Tony Kelly and Niall Deasy hitting 1-20 between them.

They take on Kilmaley as part of Saturday’s double header, with throw in at 6.30.

Ballyea Manager Kevin Sheehan says his talented forward line is no secret, but they’ll need help from elsewhere on Saturday.

Both games in Saturday’s double header will be broadcast live on Clare FM, with our Super Hurling weekend in association with Blossoms on the Go Garden Centre, Ennis.
