Williams Reflects On ‘Hero’ Success

Young Ennis showjumper Rhys Williams has spoken of how he coped with the pressure during his recent global success.

The 15-year-old was last month crowned world champion at the FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy competition in Belgium.

It’s the latest honour for the up-and-coming talent, and saw him named as the Clare FM Sports Star of the Month for December, in association with Cummins Car Centre in Ballymaley.

Speaking as he received that award, Rhys reflected on how he and his pony delivered in the crucial moment of the competition’s final round.
