In gaelic football news and Shannon gaels and Doonbeg both recorded wins in the late evening game in the coutny senior football championsip on Saturday.
The Gaels overcame Kilkee in the first of a double header in Cooraclare by 2-7 to 0-10 while Doonbeg had two points to spare over Lissycasey in the second match of the evening 0-10-to 0-8
Earlier Ennistymon hammered Miltown by 13 points to 3 in Cusack park while Cooraclare overcame St joseph’s by 11 points to 1-3.
In the Intermediate championship :
Kilfenora beat Meelick by 2-5 to 1-6 with Kildysert overcoming Corofin by 1-10 to 1-17.
the early game saw Kilmihil and O Curry’s draw 0-10 to 1-7.
