Shamrock Rovers now face Europa League playoffs

 

Shamrock Rovers Champions League dream came to an end last night when they were beaten 2-0 by FC Copenhagen at the Tallaght  Stadium – the Danish side won the tie 3-0 over the two legs.

Rovers almost levelled the tie when Chris Turner hit the crossbar but Dame Ndoye scored for Copenhagen just before half time.

Cristian Bolanos  added a second for the away side in the second half.

Meanwhile St. Pats who are in Europa league action tomorrow night could go on strike in a row over European bonuses.

The clubs part time players are unhappy that they haven’t received sufficient payment for their European campaign.

Pats are 2-0 down to Karpaty of the Ukraine going into the second leg in Tallaght .
