Jonathan Sexton and Mike McCarthy could still be fit in time for Ireland’s Six Nations clash with France on Saturday week.
McCarthy has already resumed running after his medial knee ligament injury, while Sexton is expected to start running again later this week after suffering a grade 2 hamstring tear against England.
Craig Gilroy and Donnacha Ryan both picked up injuries in the defeat to Scotland but both players are expected to be fit for the visit of the French to the Aviva.
Meanwhile, Cian Healy could yet be back for the French game if his appeal is successful in Glasgow tomorrow.
