Several hot topics up for discussion at County Board Gathering

The long awaited May meeting of the Clare County Board is set be held tonight.

The Clare County executive hasn’t officially met since the start of April with a number of hot topics set to be debated at the gathering.

Delegates to tonight’s Clare County Board meeting are expected to be presented with an update on the Bord na nOg football forum report by its chairman Eamon Keane.

The report has been a hot topic at several meetings since the start of the year and its believed that Keane will explain progress on its finding to the meeting tonight.

The future of under-age hurling development is also set to be raised fowling the demise of the urban board.

Since the county board’s last meeting Banner Gaa have set up their own under-age club while Eire Og have received permission to field teams at U12.

Following Colm Collins resignation as Clare junior football manager it is also hoped that a new management team will be announced ahead of the June 9th clash in the Gaelic Grounds

The meeting gets underway in Ennis at  8-30 at the West County Hotel.
