The IRFU have just made a major announcement about the future of Joe Schmidt.

Schmidt has signed a contract extension to remain as Ireland Head Coach until June 30, 2017.
The Union have been enaged in contract negotiations with the former Leinster coach since he led the team to a second consecutive Six Nations title in March.
