Newmarket on Fergus have qualified for the semi finals of the county hurling championship after a win this evening in Cusack Park by 2-18 to 10 points against St Joseph’s Doorabarefield.

The half time score saw Newmarket lead by 1-10 points to  5 points thanks to a Seanie Arthur  goal.

They will play the winner of the Clonlara/Cloney Quinn q-final.

Earlier Broadford and Cratloe played out a thrilling 1-12 to 15 point draw with Padriag Taylor goaling for Broadford just after half time to give the intermediate championship from 2008 the lead for the very first time after Cratloe had led at half time by 6 points to 4.

Paudge Collins equalisied for Cratloe in the last minute to send the game to a replay,likely to be next Saturday.

Elsewhere Clarecastle maintained their Senior staus after they defeated Ogunnoloe by 1-12 to 1-2.

In the other relegation game Corfin defeated Smith O Briens by 3-7 to 9 points.
