Avenue United manager David Russell is confident his side can use the disappointment of their FAI Junior Cup exit to motivate them for the rest of the season.

The Ennis side bowed out of the national competition after a 2-1 loss in Dublin against Tallaght United, with the winning goal coming via a dubious penalty awarded to the home side.

Thoughts now turn toward a Munster Junior Cup quarter-final, along with the defence of the Clare Cup and a their bid to regain the league title.
