Ruan’s Cotter To Assess Olympic Prospects In Coming Weeks

Ruan’s Imogen Cotter says she’ll assess her Olympic prospects with her team in the coming weeks and months.

The 28-year-old claimed victory at the Senior Women’s Road Race National Championships in Wicklow on Saturday.

Just 90 places are up for grabs in the event at the Paris Olympics in 2024, with Ireland only previously having sent one female cyclist to the Games.

Cotter, who cycles for the Belgian-based Keukens Redant Team, says while she’s hopeful of being on the plane to Paris, it’s a difficult road ahead.
