County senior champions Kilmurray Ibrickane are likely to face Eire Og next weekend in round two of the county senior football championship following last night’s win over Cratloe.
The west Clare side recorded a 17 points to 0-9 win which sets up the meeting with the Ennis outfit while Cratloe must now take on Lissycasey in the losers round
Despite the 8 point win Kilmurray ibrickane manager John Kennedy feels Cratloe will still have an impact on the race for championship honours:
The draw for the next round will be made later-with 3 sides into the last eight already while three sides now also face relegation finals.
Ennistymon,Cooraclare and Doonbeg are all through to the q-final while Kilkee, Miltown and St Breckan’s face the prospect of the drop to intermediate.
One of the sides to get a second chance in this year’s championship were Wolfe Tones-who recorded an extra time win over St breckan’s.
Their manager Mike Riordan says the victory has restored confidence after their opeing round loss to Liscannor
