Manchester Uniterd striker Wayne Rooney says referee Chris Foy was correct to send Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany off for his two footed tackle on Nani in yesterdays FA Cup tie.
Responding to critism of his encouragement of the ref to give a card Rooney posted on twitter today "I’m not a ref. I didn’t give the red card. But it was a clear red".
United won the game 3-2 and meet Liverpool in the next round.
