An outstanding haul of 1-18 for county star Mark Rodgers saw last years intermediate champions take the points in a gripping encounter.

The sides were level on nine different occasions, including early in the final quarter, but Rodgers late goal proved to be the crucial score of the game.
The East Clare men now take on reigning champions Sixmilebridge in the final round of group games while Clarecastle meet Wolfe Tones.
