Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says Luis Suarez has responded well to the increased responsibility at the club.
His Anfield future made headlines all through the summer as he publicly stated on numerous occassions that he wanted to leave, but the club’s managing director Ian Ayre has reportedly opened talks about a new deal for the striker.
Since his return from a 10-match ban on September 25, Suarez has scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League appearances.
The Uruguayan was named captain in the absence of Steven Gerrard last week, and Rodgers says he’s taken well to his senior role in the dressing room.
