Robbie Backs McGeady’s Proposed Toffees Move

Aiden McGeady’s move to Everton has met with the approval of Robbie Keane.

The Ireland captain has says it’s a good club with a strong tradition and a good manager, and believes the former Celtic man will be helped settle in by the other Irish players already at Goodison Park.

McGeady is expected to agree a pre-contract with the Toffees in the next few days and join them when his deal with Spartak Moscow runs out in June.

Meanwhile, West Brom have looked to Spain for their new boss. Former Real Betis manager Pepe Mel will succeed Steve Clarke as head coach, taking over the job after tomorrow’s game at Southampton.
