It’s been reported that Ulster won’t be offering Brian McLaughlin a new contract at the end of the season.

McLaughlin brought the Province to the quarter final stage of the Heineken Cup last season for the first time in 12 years.

Ulster are back in the last 8 of the competition again this season – they’ll play Munster at Thomond Park in April.

It was expected McLaughlin would be offered a new deal but it’s understood he’s been told his contract won’t be renewed.

New Zealand pair John Kirwan and Matt Sexton are two names already been linked with the job.
