Repeat Of Clare Senior Football Final Still On The Cards After Semi Final Draws

A repeat of the 2015 Clare Senior Football Final is still on the cards after the draw for the semi finals of this years championship.

Champions Miltown and beaten finalists Cooraclare have been kept apart as they continue their bid for successive final appearances.

The draw has pitted the holders against the 2014 champions Cratloe, with both sides hoping to continue their unbeaten run in this years championship.

The other semi final sees Cooraclare taking on the winners of the last remaining quarter final tie, where 2012 champions Kilmurry Ibrickane meet 2007 champions Lissycasey.

The Blues have battled back to the last four despite numerous injury blows during the year and difficulty in arranging collective training sessions due to work and college commitments.

Manager Ger Lawlor says their progress is a testament to those involved.

The semi finals are due to be played in two weeks time.

The draws were also made for the quarter finals of the Junior A championship.

That sees Naomh Eoin going up against Ballyvaughan, Michael Cusacks facing Cooraclare, Clooney/Quin meeting Meelick and Kilmurry Ibrickane playing Killimer
