Cork Hurling Selector Seanie McGrath has described Clare's All Ireland Champion hurlers as a "fabulous" side that they want to test themselves against.
The Rebels face Waterford in the Munster championship's opening contest this Sunday, while the winners of the Quarter-Final in Thurles will then take on Clare in the last four.
McGrath has rejected suggestions that a rematch of the All Ireland Final is a motivation for the team.
He has told Clare FM they just want to take on the best team in the country.
Meanwhile, in underage hurling, last night saw both semi-finals in the Under-14 Bord na nÓg Shield competition.
Doora/Barefield beat Éire Óg 1-7 to 0-5, while Inagh-Kilnamona overcame Kilmaley 3-8 to 0-4.
