Clare’s senior hurling goalkeeper is hopeful the side can carry their positive 2020 league form into 2021 as a springboard for this year’s championship campaign.

Brian Lohan’s side are preparing to make the long trip to Antrim for their National Hurling League Division 1B opener this Sunday.

It follows a 2020 campaign which saw the Banner emerge as league finalists before the COVID-19 pandemic struck and a loss to Limerick in a game that doubled up as a league final and Munster quarter final followed.

Eibhear Quilligan, who gained an All Star nomination last year, is aiming to repeat that strong form again this time around.

That one throws in at 1pm this Sunday in Belfast – Clare FM will have live updates of the game, in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market Turnpike Road and Geraghty’s Spar and Offlicence Turnpike Ennis.
