Public Health Midwest Say No Match Video Viewed Before Clare Close Contact Decision

Public Health Midwest say they didn’t view any match videos before two Clare hurlers were named close contacts of Wexford’s positive COVID-19 cases.

It comes as calls continue for clarification over what constitutes a ‘close contact’ of a Covid-19 case in GAA, with one of the Banner’s players said to have been identified as one by the colour of his helmet according to the Clare County Board.

Clare GAA are backing manager Brian Lohan over his claims two of his players were named as close contacts by Wexford players.

Wexford have denied this and referred the matter to the GAA’s management committee.
