Provincial Titles for Monaghan and Mayo

A relentless Monaghan shocked Donegal to win the Ulster football final in Clones this evening.

They defeated the All Ireland champions by 0-13 points to 0-07.
 
It took Donegal over half an hour to get on the scoreboard in the first half.
 
They’ll now face Laois in the qualifiers.
 
In the curtain raiser, Monaghan’s minor side came from behind to beat Tyrone by 4-10 to 2-14.
 
Mayo defeated London by 5-11 to 0-10 to win their third Connacht football final in a row.
 
Alan Freeman and Darren Coen got first half goals, while Cillian O’ Connor came off the bench to score 3-03 in the second half.
 
The Exiles will face Cavan in next Saturday in the qualifiers.
 
Mayo were also winners in the minor final at McHale Park, they defeated Roscommon by 3-7 to 1-10.
