A prominent Clare businessman has offered to take up the role of Head of Operations of Clare GAA.
It is understood he is a US based North Clare native, who approached members of the Strategic Review Group to make the offer in recent days while also advising that he wished to waive his salary.
Last nights meeting of delegates heard that the unnamed candidate had come forward, with chairman Kieran Keating outlining that a formal interview process would have to be followed.
He also stated that the position could not be officially advertised without clearance from Croke Park along with confirmation of the impact it would have on the €30,000 subsidy available from the GAA.
