Penalty Shootout Heartbreak For Clare In Munster MHC Final

Clare’s bid for a first Munster minor hurling title since 2011 just fell short after a dramatic penalty shootout loss to Tipperary.

The sides couldn’t be separated after extra time, with the Premier side dispatching all three of their penalties to claim the title.

Dylan-Keane Hayes sent the game to the added period with a brilliant score in normal time, with Tipperary’s Paddy McCormack doing likewise with the final action of the tie to bring it to the shootout.

Clare now enter the All Ireland round robin series where they will face Galway and the Leinster runners up, with two of those three teams advancing to the All Ireland semi-finals.
