Clare’s 13-time Irish champion Paddy Donovan has signed a multi-year professional contract with Bob Arum’s ‘Top Rank’ Boxing stable.
The Ennis welterweight joins fellow Irish boxers Carl Frampton, Ryan Burnett and Michael Conlan with the US promotion and will be trained by former WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee.

20-year-old Donovan is also a former world silver medalist and competed for the Our Lady of Lourdes club in Limerick.
