Galway won 0-26 to 3-16, even though Tipp's Seamus Callanan scored 3-9.

However, 21 year old Shane Maloney came off the bench to score the winning point for the Tribesmen and set up a final meeting with Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, in camogie, Cork will play Galway in the final after they overcame Kilkenny in yesterday's semi-final.

4-10 to 1-10 the final score.
