O’Regan takes Camogie Reigns

The new chairman of Clare camogie says he’s hoping to support and improve the sport both on and off the field.

Michael O’Regan of Ruan was the unanimous choice of delegates to succeed Orla Considine at last night’s AGM in Ennis.

As the Clooney/Quin woman’s four year tenure in the position came to an end, and she told those in attendance that she looks back with pride on the developments they have achieved, including successes both on and off the field.

The board’s financial summary showed a loss of 1700 euro in the nine months to the end of September, while the sport’s disciplinary committee also expressed concern in their reporting of an increase in red cards and verbal abuse of referees.
