It's expected the manager will change to a 3-5-2 formation.

Ireland start the evening three points behind the group-leading Poles, and assistant boss Roy Keane says it's important they make a bright start.

Kick off at the Aviva is at 7.45.

The two other games in the group kick off at 5, with Germany away to Georgia, and Scotland hosting group whipping boys Gibraltar.

In Group F this evening, Northern Ireland welcome Finland to Windsor Park.

That one kicks off at 5, as does the meeting of Romania and the Faroes.

While Hungary face Greece at 7.45.

Portugal can go top of Group I with a win at home to Serbia this evening, while before that Armenia go to Albania.
