Michael Neenan made the comments in light of the first round games all being postponed after clubs in each tie said they could not fulfill the fixtures.

Just one of those first round games has been refixed so far, with the second round pencilled in for the weekend of the 9th and 10th of May.

The competition, which is named after the late Doonebeg stalwart John O'Gorman, is in its 10th year, and Neenan says it could be the last.

The pairing for the Clare U16A football final will be known this evening.

Ennistymon have already booked their spot in this years decider after they overcame Cooraclare.

The West Clare amalgamation of Naomh Eoin/O'Currys take on Eire Óg in the other last four tie.

It gets underway this evening at Pairc Eoin in Cross at 7pm
