O’Dwyer’s first Clare Football Outing set for Sunday

The Mick O’Dwyer era in Clare football will begin in Miltown Malbay this Sunday, when the Banner get their McGrath Cup campaign underway.

It’s been confirmed that Hennessy Park is to stage the clash of Clare and Limerick IT, with a 2 o’clock throw-in.  The match is sure to draw a strong interest, as it marks the first competitive outing for the saffron and blue under the 76 year old Kerry football legend.

James Bermingham of Cork will take charge of the game, the winners of which will be away to Limerick next time out.

Also this weekend, Kerry will face IT Tralee in Killarney while Cork will take on Cork IT on Sunday.
