The man who saved Clare’s All-Ireland hopes says he feels the team will have learned from their first All-Ireland Final outing.
Despite leading for much of the game, Clare entered the 72nd minute of yesterday’s match at Croke Park trailing Cork by a point, the first time the Rebels were in front.
However, they were denied a 31st All Ireland crown by Domhnall O’Donovan.
The Clonlara corner-back scored from out on the left wing to set-up a replay on September 28th, with the throw-in time to be rubber-stamped by the Central Competitions Control Committee today.
It was his first ever Championship score in the saffron and blue.
His team-mate, midfielder Conor Ryan says O’Donovan was an unlikely man to get the crucial score.
