Eire Óg have blooded a number of new players throughout this campaign, with recent U20 and minor county stars having key roles to play in their run to the final.

2024 Hurler of the Year Shane O’Donnell says it had been a hugely enjoyable group to be part of.

Meanwhile Clooney-Quin manager Fergal Lynch says players are reaping the rewards of committing to the cause this year.

Their last county title was in 1942, while their last final appearance was in 2017.

The former All Ireland winner says the work doesn’t just happen on the field.

Throw in on Sunday afternoon is at 3.30pm with commentary thanks to Sherry Fitzgerald McMahon Estate Agents and Auctioneers.
