As excitement builds ahead of Sunday’s clash with Cork, the former All-Star has played down any worries that a young Clare side could struggle with the occasion.

O’Connor says the team that banished the curse of Biddy Early were also relatively inexperienced, and like today, confident too.

Meanwhile, Cork defender Conor O’Sullivan feels the familiarity between both sides won’t be a factor on Sunday.

The All Ireland Final marks the fifth time this year that the teams will go head to head, after clashes in the Waterford Crystal Cup, National League and Munster Championship.

However, O’Sullivan says he has marked a different man on each occasion and is playing down the significance of this.
