Eire Óg manager Gerry O’Connor is hailing the commitment of their group in their bid to end a 35 year wait for Clare hurling glory.
The Townies are back into the TUS senior final for a second time this decade, with Clooney Quin providing the opposition on Sunday afternoon.
The current Eire Óg club was established in 1952, with six titles to their name since that date.
O’Connor says there is a united ambition to add another star to that roll of honour.
Meanwhile the man who will lead Clooney-Quin behind the band on Sunday says they can’t allow themselves to get wrapped up in the occasion of the day.
Fergal Lynch’s side are contesting just a second senior decider in over 80 years, and a first since they lost to Sixmilebridge in a replay in 2017.
Captain Jimmy Corry says its important to remember that there is a game to played once the formalities draw to a close.
