O’Connor aware of Tipp threat

Ahead of tonight's U21 Munster Hurling semi final, Clare joint manager Gerry O'Connor says the Banner are aware of the threat Tipperary will pose.

Clare go into the clash in Cusack Park as the reigning Munster and All Ireland champions, and are looking to win both titles for the third year in a row.

 

The sides met in last years provincial decider at the grade, with Clare coming out on top by 1-17 to 2-10.

 

O'Connor says they wont be taking Tipp lightly

 

Meanwhile Tipperary manager TJ Connolly insists that despite having a strong squad for tonight's encounter, the onus is on them to produce a performance.

 

The Premier line out with six of the side that lost to Clare in last years final, while senior panellist Ronan Maher will be at center back.

 

Tipperary have been in 3 of the last 4 Munster U21 hurling finals, and were victorious over Clare in the 2010 decider.

 

Connolly says he's hopeful his side's hard work will pay off
