The outgoing chairman of Bord Na Og Iomaint Sean O Halloran has called for a strategic plan to be put in place for the development of underage hurling in county Clare.
In his final chairman’s address at last night’s meeting in Ennis the Bodyke man called for a plan to integrate the work currently being done in the county with a 5 year plans for the future development.
O Halloran told Clarefm that something need to be put in place to aid future progress
Last night’s Agm may have been the last ever for Bord Na Og Iomiant ahead of next Thursday’s senior convention which will see Scariff table a motion seeking the amalgamation of the football and hurling board at underage level.
O Halloran stepped down after 12 years at the helm as chairman which also combined many years involved with county sides at underage level.
He told Clarefm his fondest memory will be of the 2009 season with the U21’s.
