O Connell named in Munster squad but not in starting xv for Amlin semi final

Paul O’Connell has been named on the bench for Munsters clash with Harlequins tomorrow in the Amlin Challenge cup semi final, the second row was not named in the 27 man panel earlier in the week but coaching staff say he has proved his fitness despite an ankle injury.

Paul Warwick partners Lifeimi Mafi in the centre , Connor Murray starts at scrum half while Wian Du Preez, Damien Varley and Tony Buckley form the front row, Dennis Leamy is blinside flanker with James Coughlan at number 8 and David Wallace on the openside.

Marcus Horan is named on the bench alongside O Conell and Peter Stringer
