Clare’s outgoing ladies football chairman has broken his silence on his sudden departure from the role earlier this week.

David O Brien stepped aside as Chair at the assoication’s AGM on Tuesday, along with treasurer Geraldine Kelly, despite both executive members being expected to continue for a second term.

It means clubs will now have to send in their nominations for the positions, with the convention having been adjourned until next week.
