No Decision Despite Second Meeting On Cooraclare/Doonbeg Quarter-Final

Cooraclare requested the game be postponed following a bereavement, and then didn’t show for the match in Kilmihil, but Doonbeg didn’t accept a walkover, saying they were willing to reschedule the fixture.

The winners are due to play Lissycasey this Saturday in the semi-finals. Last night’s meeting, which followed a seperate meeting yesterday morning, continued well after 10:00 but no deal was announced, with a county board spokesman telling Clare FM they were awaiting clarification from clubs.

It has, however, been confirmed that the tie between Eire Og and Cratloe will go ahead on Sunday. Elsewhere, in football, All Ireland winner with Cork Paudie Kissane has announced his retirement from the game at age 33.
