Neylon Looking At Positives While Ennistymon Look To Bounce Back In Clare SFC

Ennistymon manager Noel Crowe felt his sides failure to convert goal chances proved fatal as they fell to an opening round loss to Kilmurry Ibrickane in the Clare senior football championship.

The North Clare outfit were denied green flags twice at key moments in the game, with Bricks netminder David Sexton keeping his goal intact as the holders registered a 1-10 to 0-7 win.

The Kilmurry goal came in the third quarter from club veteran Enda Coughlan as he followed up from an excellent Noel Sexton save to punch home from close range.

Crowe says that was a huge moment in the game

Meanwhile Miltown boss Michael Neylon says the nature of this years championship means that teams are going to have readjust quickly to setbacks along the road.

The 2019 winners are counting the cost of their draw with Cratloe as key defenders Seanie Malone and Enda O’Gorman picked up injuries during the contest.

Neylon says it is something that everyone is going to have to deal with as the season progresses.
