Newmarket have retained the Clare cup title with a 2-9 to 1-4 win over Clonlara in Sixmilebridge today.

The Blues led by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break-Mike Mc Inerney sent off for the champions and the goal coming from Shane O Brien junior.
Clonlara were reduced to 14 men at the start of the second half with the dismissal of Oisin O Brien and Shane o Brien senior then claimed the game’s second goal.
