Newmarket on Fergus claimed the Clare cup title for the second year in a row on Sunday with a 2-9 to 1-4 win over Clonlara.

The Blues led by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break-despite being down to 14 men after Mikey McInerney’s sending off-their goal from Shane O brien Junior.
However Clonlara were reduced to 14 themselves early in the second half with Oisin O Brien receiving his marching orders and Shane O’Brien Senior scored his side’s second goal to put the game beyond doubt.
Nicky O’Connell scored a consolation goal for Clonlara in the 59th minute from a 30 metre free.
