Newmarket manager says no pressure on his side ahead of championship

The Newmarket on Fergus senior hurling management are happy with their prepartions ahead of the start of the defense of their county championship title this weekend.

The Blues face Kilmaley in Cusack park  on Sunday at 1-30   defending Canon Hamilton for the first time since 1981

On Saturday Wolfe Tones begin their B championship campiagn against scariff in Sixmilebridge at 7-30.

The Shannon side will be without key forward AAron cunningham as he recovers from injury but will be hoping ypunger palyers step upto the mark at senior level

Manager James Carrig admits they had no choice but to go with youth for the clash with Scariff :

There has also been a  change to the  Tulla v Tubber game.

The match has been switched from Shannnon to  Clarecastle on Sunday at 1.30pm
