Avenue United are on course to be crowned Clare Premier Division champions.
It’s after chief rivals Newmarket Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Bridge United.
The result leaves Newmarket trailing Avenue by 11 points but with two games still in hand, including against the leaders.
It also means Bridge United are now closest to Avenue in the league standings with 7 points separating the top two.
