Newmarket Keep Noses In Front In Race For Clare Premier Division Title

Newmarket Celtic and Avenue United are continuing to go toe for toe in the race for the Clare Premier Division title.

Holders Newmarket maintained their one point lead at the top of the standings after a 5-0 win over Shannon Olympic, while Avenue matched that result as they beat Lifford.

Elsewhere Mountshannon Celtic continued their late push for survival in the top tier with a 4-0 win over Ennis Town, while Bridge United had a 5-2 win over Shannon Hibs.
