Newmarket on Fergus have begun their Senior Championship Campaign with a comprehensive eighteen point win over Tulla.
This group 2 tie saw the Colin Ryan captained Newmarker side hold Tulla scoreless for 17 minutes of the opening half.
A Stephen Kelly goal contributed to a 1-05 to 0-00 lead before a Cathal Dinan point opened Tulla's account.
At half time Newmarket led 1-07 to 0-04, but 12 wides in the opening 30 minutes.
Second half goals from David Barrett, James Liddy and Mike McInerney saw the Blues cruise to the comprehensive 4-16 to 0-10 win over 14 man Tulla, as Niall Bolton was dimissed for two yellow card offences.
