Newmarket were deservedly crowned Clare Ladies Football Senior B champions at Kilmihil last evening when they recorded a 3-20 to 1-8 win over Shannon Gaels.

An early goal from the outstanding Anne Marie Hayes put the winners 1-1 to 0-1 ahead after six minutes and they never looked back thereafter.
A Carol O’Leary goal on the stroke of half time saw them retire 2-10 to 0-6 in front.
Their third goal was scored from the penalty spot by half back Laura McMahon while Sarah Bohannon goaled for the Gaels.
