Newmarket Celtic Postpone Quarter Final On Safety Grounds

Newmarket Celtic have announced they will not be fulfilling tomorrow’s Munster Junior Cup Quarter Final in McDonagh Park.

Liam Murphys side were due to host St Michaels of Tipperary, and were advised by the Munster FA that their venue had to be rendered playable by this afternoon despite the heavy snowfall of recent days.

A team of volunteers gathered at the pitch this morning to clear the snow but on closer inspection of the venue and it’s surrounds, it was decided to call off the game in the interests of safety.
