The Clare champions beat St Michaels of Tipperary in a penalty shootout in yesterdays 6th round encounter.
The game finished 1-1 after extra time with both goals coming in the first 45 minutes.
Newmarket keeper Niall Quinn saved two penalties in the shootout to ensure a 4-3 win.
